All puppets do is move

Puppets don't eat or sleep or walk or talk or think or sleep or breathe or feel or pray. They don't do anything except move. Movement is all they can do, and they only move when you make them move.

They will look like they are doing something when you move them to look like they are doing it. When you make them imitate the movement of the thing you want them to look like they are doing.

What movement do they imitate? They imitate the movement of performance. They imitate the movement of a performer on a stage. Since they only exist on stage, their movement only makes sense in the context of a stage.
